President’s Message 1-16-20

Welcome to the New Year Highland Park!

On behalf of the Historic Highland Park Neighborhood Council I want to wish you all a very Happy New Year and welcome you all to the new decade! Our board was very fortunate to be able to do both!

December was our busiest month filled with events that helped bring the community together.  These events were not only successful but the true definition of coming together as a community to support each other and lift each other up.

I would like to highlight a Board Member that has been working hard since her appointment to the HHPNC Board. Our Treasurer ensured that our NC was not only in compliance but set an example of how to best manage our funds and be fiscally responsible for each and every tax dollar spent through the HHPNC. She also makes sure that all of our events are funded, does admin work, and helps the entire board with her vast knowledge. Thank you for everything you have done for the HHPNC and continue to do within our community!

There is still so much for us to do this year which includes but is not limited to; community clean-ups, town halls, the CD14 NC Coalition Forum, the funding of events and projects throughout the community, and the overall improvement of our community.

I encourage all stakeholders to participate with our Neighborhood Council and become involved. We should be working together to foster a community that is inviting and inclusive. Do not let others negativity discourage you from doing what is right! Speak up and be heard.

We also have an At-Large Director Seat Vacancy, please click on the link to apply. (Stakeholder who is 18 years or older.)
